Rumpel Web 2.0 released

Rumpel™ is a private dashboard for your HAT data. It is the browser through which you can view, manage and create actions using the data stored in your HAT. What you can do with Rumpel:

  • Stuff data into your HAT; claim your data from Internet companies and make it useful to you
  • Keep it secure and available on demand; your HAT is a personal and secure cloud container that goes everywhere with you and available on all your devices
  • Monetise your data; use it to get discounts and services, again and again

Version 2.0 takes Rumpel to the next level by allowing it to be deployed as a standalone app or bundled together with the HAT and served as its standard frontend. The app’s behaviour can now be changed by turning a ‘native’ flag on or off in the configuration file.

New in version 2.0:

  • Public profile, public notables, login and hatlogin pages added to the native version
  • Password change and password reset functionality
  • Password strength checker to match HAT’s password strength requirements
  • DataPlug setup full view
  • General HAT account details and statistics tile
  • Popup notifications for faulty or disabled data plugs

Besides those, there were the following under-the-hood changes:

  • Updated request authentication and user state management services
  • Cleaned up code styling and started enforcing code linting rules
  • Started running Continuous Integration builds
